Application Performance issues over AnyConnect VPN

When connected to our VPN some of our corporate applications that are access across the WAN from our office location timeout over http/https they work fine in the office.  The ping times in the office are in the 30-40ms range and over VPN jump to around 200+ms.  I've attempted to adjust the MTU settings for the vpn profile and that hasn't made a difference.  Any ideas on what I should be looking to adjust to solve this issue.  other applications work fine over the same WAN route from the VPN.

Did you do some capture on your asa/router to see if there are fragmented packets?
When you're using this particular app, what do you see in your logging console?

What device are you connecting on using anyconnect?

What mtu value did you try? Change it on asa to 1320 and test. Also, check
if you are using dtls or tls. Try to keep tls and test
