I am replacing an cisco 1601 ISDN router (wich is working) with a cisco 1841 (with a Wic-1B-S/T-v3 ISDN card installed
the config (including userid & password) have been copied over
When tested the ISDN link attempts to come up then fails with a cause code of 16

Take debug ppp neg, debug ppp auth.
Do not take any other debug.

Identified that the difference in the IOS dictated that the "Callin" parameter was required on the PPP Chap authentication statement on the Dialer 1 interface, this prevents the remote router trying to authenticate (which wa s the reason the failure was occuring
