Hello,
Can I create VPN tunnels with a 2522 from a home network with cable/DSL?
TIA,

According to the Software Advisor on CCO there are versions of the IOS that run on the 2522 that support IPSec. So I believe that you would be able to establish VPN tunnels from a 2522.
However the 2522 has one Ethernet interface. I am not sure how you would set up connectivity for a home network connecting to the 2522 and the cable/DSL device connecting to the 2522. The routers I have seen in this functionality have two Ethernet interfaces.

Can you recommend a specific model?
Thanks,

The basic requirements are a router with 2 Ethernet interfaces and an IOS image that supports IPSec. There are LOTS of routers that fit that. I am not sure if you are specifically looking for 2500s that would work (for example a 2514 would work) or other router models (I have been working with a customer doing VPN with 1721s).
