Catastrophic failure error when installing VPN client 3.6.x

Hello there,

Everytiime I try to install VPN client either 3.6.1 and/or 3.6.3, I received an error: "Unable to locate file...Catastrophic Failure..." And that's it. No name of the file, nothing, I click OK on the dialog box and the installation, of course, stops. I have had this problem on Win2K and XP. I have removed (using RegClean and RegLite) all traces of the VPN client on the registry but no luck.

I would greatly appreciate fi you could shed some light on this problem because so far I have had to re-image the machines (Ouch!!).

Hi Carlos,

Could you delete the following key and attempt the re-install again?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Uninstall
