Hi Balaji,

Thank you for the reply, May I ask why the router config?

Is it possible that something on our BUsiness network in the router config can change and enable Dial-up WAN Miniport (PPPOE) on Windows Network drivers when the CISCO VPN AnyConnect is installed. The vpn not connected to yet or anything. just installed and the services started in Windows.

IF the router can do this, please give me examples because I will have to go to our Network team to request this and they will ask a lot of questions why you need router config and I will need to give proof of why I ask for it.

I have found after the last post, when I right click on the WAN Miniport (PPPOE) driver in Device manager and disable it. That Device manager Crashes (Not responding) then I kill it in task manager, then reboot. this reboot still gets the BSOD, however since the DWAN Miniport (PPPOE) is now disabled when I log in next time the following reboots or shutdowns are fine.

What is the action behind the WAN Miniport (PPPOE) that refuses to close. Any other of the Miniports is fine and disabling just fine, but something in the Cisco VPN anyconnect application is activating or corrupting this RASPPPOE.sys file.

Thanks in Advance

Thank you for the input - what exactly you want to achieve here? the original post has only information on Router 1921 and mentioned PPPoE errors, at the stage we are not sure what is the issue, so requested router config to look at what is configured.

In the later post we have different information (or more information), can you summarise what you try to achieve?

you want to use 1921 router to connect to ISP using PPPoE or you looking to setup up one inside in the windows server, or you want your client to connect using  PPPOE  ? ( sorry it was bit confusing to me)
