Hi,
I've a PIX (6.3(3)) and Cisco-VPN-Client's (4.7.x).
The ip-address for the VPN-connection is assigned by the PIX firewall (local pool). --> works fine but how can I change the subnet mask?
The pool has the address: 10.a.b.x - 10.a.b.y
The subnet mask on the client is 255.0.0.0 but I need 255.255.255.0
How can I change it?
I also tried the pool 192.168.0.x --> here I have the 255.255.255.0 subnet mask on VPN-Client - it's ok!!
Because of the network-design I need an ip-address from Network 10.0.0.x whith subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Regards
Dieter

Unfortunetly you cannot change subnet mask for 10.0.0.0 network, because it is automaticly recognise as a clas A network

somehow when the pix assigns the ip from the vpn client pool, it determines the mask by class.
e.g.
10 = class a = 255.0.0.0
and i guess it can't be modified.
