Company I work for in the state of New York uses Cisco vpn to connect to wi-fi on desktop computer they provided. I work from home and want to go out-of-state for the holidays without telling my employer.
A supervisor once shared a story of someone calling tech support over wifi connectivity issues and getting busted while out in the Dominican Republic. I'm wondering if it's a case in which they could only know if they need to check your ip address when call into tech support or if Cisco only connects in state or something of that sort. I work for the state so I'm assuming they would take extra precautions. Anyone have any experience with this?
