Recently I upgraded my VPN client to 4.9.01 (0030) in an effort to correct issues connecting over my PPP connection. Here are the details. I'm using a Mac Powerbook G4 w/ OSX 10.4.8. When I try to establish a VPN connection thru the client software it complains with this error: " Error 51: Unable to communicate with the VPN subsystem. Please make sure that you have at least one network interface that is currently active and has an IP address and start this application again.PPP network connection."
My mac's ifconfig has the following. .
ppp0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 10.116.5.139 --> 10.64.64.64 netmask 0xff000000
I suspect I have something setup improperly. . But I don't know. . Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks

Hi ,
It is a bug CSCei00630 and details of bug is as follows.
When switching networks with the VPN Client connected, the client can become
attached to the previous network. It also loses touch with the MTU.
workaround :
* Shut down the VPN Client.
* Stop and start the module (don't use restart).
* Open the VPN Client and connect successfully.
Hope it helps you..Please let me know the status after doing workaround steps.
Plz rate it..
Thanks,
satish
