Currently, our 1841 router has a T1 connected to the T1 WIC, Comcast Cable connected to Fa0/0, and the LAN connected to Fa0/1. On Tuesday, our 1841 will have an ethernet connection to a new gateway router instead of using the T1 WIC. I have added a 4-port ethernet module to the router in preparation for this change. Since the 4-port module is not layer 3 capable, I created a vlan so that I can address the Vlan with the IP address that was previously configured on the T1 WIC. My goal is to move our IPSec vpn tunnel from the serial interface to the newly created vlan interface. I have been able to add all the commands to the vlan interface, but I wanted to make sure that when the time comes to make the switch, the tunnel will actually come up when it's configured on a vlan interface that is then assigned to one of the four ethernet ports in the add-on module. Has anyone done this or seen this done? Any potential drawbacks? Many thanks!

Hi,
Crypto-map is supported on SVI so if everything else is in place, it will work.
