I have an ASA5516. It has 8192 MB RAM and is running 9.12(2)4 software. I want to know how many AnyConnect Premium Peers it can support.

Hi,
No, that's the maximum supported by the platform, see the Data Sheet. For more concurrent sessions, you would need to get another ASA, and configure VPN Load Balancing between the ASA's to achieve both load-balancing and smooth user experience; however if one ASA stops working, you're back with the problem, so you could buy 2 additional ASA's.

Hi,
AnyConnect Licensing has changed, there are no more Premium and Essentials License. 5516 supports up to 300 concurrent AnyConnect sessions. You would need to buy "Plus" or "Apex" AnyConnect Licenses, if using it only for VPN, "Plus" will do the job. For VPN, you could take the "VPN Only" licenses, but you will not be able to migrate it to another box if you will need so in future. Check the Ordering Guide.

Hi Cristian,
I currently have 300 licenses. Would I be able to add any others? I may be about 200 short if everyone starts working from home.
