IPTV/Multicast over VPN

Currently have a requirement for our VPN/wireless users to have the capability to view CNN/other channels via IPTV. We're utilizing Cisco's VPN 3030 Concentrator for our needs. Is this box capable of supporting multicast? What needs to be done/established to enable this to work? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Currently the 3000 series of VPN concentrators do not support multicast. The older 5000 series concentrators do as well as the PIX and Router VPN. There has been some talk about having the 3000 series support multicast traffic in some upcoming release but don't hold your breath. V5 code maybe is what I am hearing.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate your timely response. I was just informed that we recently ordered a VPN Services Module for one of our 6500's. I guess the plan is to eventually migrate the current users over to the more "scalable" SM, which also happens to support multicast. Anyone have any insight as to whether this module will work with the IPTV client in this type of environment? Thanks again.

Hope that gives you a bit of relief :)
