Making VPN

Hi,

I have UC520 and router 877 with private public ip address in our office, I need to make VPN connection from my home to UC520 to connect my ip communicator, so can I do VPN on my UC520 if you can help me with documentation.

Can you please clarify whether it is public or private ip, as you have specified: "I have UC520 and router 877 with private public ip address  in our office".

If you can confirm whether you have public or private ip assigned to both ends (UC520 and 877), and whether it is dynamic or static ip address, that would be great.

You can configure either LAN-to-LAN VPN tunnel or Easy VPN tunnel. Here are sample configuration for each scenario:

Thank you for quick reply, what I meant is public IP address.

in my office the UC520 and Router 877 connecting to each other locally, the internet is on router 877, and in my home I have normal DSL, what I'm going to do is install Cisco VPN client on my laptop and I already have ip communicator, so I think I will go with Easy VPN NEM. Any suggestion

If you are going to install VPN Client on your PC, here is the sample configuration:

You can use the router local database for user authentication (using the "username" command).
