I have a tainet T-288C modem and cisco router 2620xm with NM32-A module. When i connect the modem to mn32-a modules interfaces then autoconfigure failed and router can't see modem. If i connect the same modem to aux port then router can see modem. Any idea?

What does "debug confmodem" show? You may want to put in your own init string and autoconfigure it with that.

I had a problem like that with a WIC-2A/S, the modem would autoconfigure once, and then after the first phone call hung up autconfigure failed and modem was unreachable. I was told by Cisco that it was a bug but the 'debug confmodem' should straighten out what is going on. Also, it will show you the init string in the modemcap. Some of the modemcaps, it has been my experience, are different in the IOS then what is posted on Cisco's website - i.e. the codex modemcap is different in reality than in Cisco's documentation.

Hi i solved the problem, i add the command in the line configuration:

no flush-at-activation
