Remote office vpn connection

We have a remote site with a XDSL connection to internet. We want to put a device in an establish a tunnel to our cisco VPN 3000 concentrator. Should I use a pix 501 appliance or a Cisco 831 router or a another product. It is for 4 users.

I'd probably go for the 831. There are a few similarities between the PIX and 831 including both devices have four port switches, they support IPSEC etc..

The winning factor for me is that the router is more flexible for a smaller office envronment giving you the added advantage of being able to use the AUX port for dial backup using a modem should your main xdsl connection fail. The router has a statful firewall (CBAC), a DMZ port, Cisco IDS, and Hardware accelerated IPSEC 3DES. To use the hardware accelerator make sure you get the "IP/FW/IPSec 3DES PLUS" image.

Thanks for the response. At 5pm yesterday, it was decided that we are buying a 2811 router with the Advanced Security IOS because they think this location is going to expand quickly.
