Using Smart Card with Anyconnect

Our customer wants to utilize Smart Cards with Cisco AnyConnect.  The documentation says that it can be done but I have not been able to locate any examples or steps on how to do it.

Can someone explain the steps or direct me to a step-by-step tutorial?

It's a bit old but the basics should pretty much be the same.

Doesnt anyone have a guide which is more up to date?

The reply is from 2016 - and mentions a slightly outdated guide.

Would it be possible that someone has worked with this topic in the latest 4 years?
