Hi There. I want to set up a VPN for my customer. The customer has an ASA 5505 and it is conncted to a Windows Server 2003 network. Now I know that Windows 2003 can be used for a VPN and it appears that the ASA can also be setup to host a VPN. If I want to setup the VPN using Windows Server, would I just then configure the ASA for port forwarding/port address translation and NOT use the VPN wizard on the ASA?
Assuming there is an option here, what are the advantages of using the ASA to host the VPN?
I suspect that these are very basic questions but I'm inexperienced enough to want to double check my understanding.
Thank you in advance for your responses and your patience.
