vpn clinet fail to send mail

Hi

I have a vpn client 4.04 running with windows XP sp2 fail to send mail with smtp. Error message in the Concentrator 3015 log:

72 11/17/2004 23:23:33.730 SEV=4 IPSEC/4 RPT=759

IPSec ESP Tunnel Inb: Packet authentication failed, username: xxxxxxxx, SPI:

1e415011, Seq Num: 000000c1. Dump of failed hash follows.

hello ben,

what exactly are you trying to do ? If I'm not wrong, you are connecting on VPN, and then logging onto a mail server on the local LAN and then trying to send a mail.. is that right ?? If so, after connecting are you able to ping the mail server and open on port 25 ? please check this..
