VPN over ADSL tearing down DSL layer 2...

Hopefully this should be an easy one.

We have an 837 ADSL router configured and operational, the DSL appears fine and tests out OK.

The problem only occurs once we enable the VPN, the VPN establishes normally but after about 20secs of successfully pushing traffic over it the layer 2 comes down on the DSL. The router needs to be reset before the DSL line can be used again.

This problem is predictable and can easily be reproduced.

OK, we enabled the crypto map also to the dialer interface and everything seems to work as it should.
