Hi all,
I have windows 7 Enterprise (32 bit) and cisco vpn client (5.0.07.0410) installed on it. when i use hsdpa usb modem, i can connect and get ip address from vpn server (cisco ASA running 8.04), but i can not access any internal server.
If i use same windows 7 machine over DSL, i dont see any problem connecting my internal server, everything works perfect.
If i use same hsdpa usb modem with same vpn client (5.0.7.0410) over windows xp machine with same user credentials, i dont see any problem connecting my internal server.
I checked sh crypto ipsec sa for that client, the ip address assign, subnet mask is perfect according to defined pool.
Does anybody came across this type of issue? please let me know if someone require more information to solve this issue.
Regards

Dear Ahmed,
this problem you can change version on software VPN client, you can try this version : vpnclient-windows-5.0.00.0340 or vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.01.0600-k9.
Last time i met this problem also,!!!

Ahmed,
There is another reason for this to happen,
Have you enabled (ISAKMP keep alive) ont the firewall? If so, then you might have a firewall using HSDPA Network that drop dead peer detection packets and therfore dont allow your connection.
Keep in mind that ISAKMP keep alive is a Cisco Properiatry feature and recommended to be disabled in such cases.

Many thanks...
@Mohammed : let me see tomorrow at customer site. But i also have clients connecting to same group using windows XP with same HSDPA modem. I still dont understand, if HSDPA modem works fine on windows XP why not on windows 7 ? I will update you once i will see the config.
@Nareth: I could not found the vpn client version you mentioed on cisco.com, the only i could found was vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.01.0600-k9-jp.exe but its specific to japnese locale. Can you please send me the link if you have one ?

Hi all,
it worked for me, I contacted HSDPA modem vendor and there is a setting in their application to enable RAS modem before connecting to VPN.I am from Gulf country, so if you are from Gulf country check this setting.
