Working with the aux port in a 3600

Hi, What command i need use to do work the aux port in a 3600, in order to atach a modem and manage it from ouside?

For a exec dialin in order to connect into the 3600 router:

line aux 0

modem inout

tranport in all

flowcontrol hardware

Hi,

After Connecting the modem to the auxillary port.

Please configure line aux 0(line 193) with configurations as below:

modem inout

transport input all

login local

Also assign data bits,stop bits,parity as applicable..

After completing this establish a Reverse Telnet to the modem connected through Auxillary Port.

Telnet IP_Address 2xxx where xxx will be the line number.

If ur not able to telnet to the modem using the line number, then connectivity between Router and Modem needs to be checked.
