Using the Chrome browser with Ironport S160

Most of our users use IE and the transparent authentication works fine with the browser and AD and the Ironport.  However some of our users have started using Chrome browser and now they are getting blocked for sites that work with IE.  What settings can I use with the Chrome browser to make it pass authentication to the Ironport?

Hi,

In some cases for transparent authentication, Chrome will not accept transparent authentication even if the redirect hostname is under the 'Trusted Sites' zone in Internet Options however  IE works fine in this config. So in these cases the redirect hostname will need to be added in Chrome's registry to implicitly trust the transparent redirection.

The following document gives more information for this:

http://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/http-authentication

http://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3#AuthServerWhitelist

Regards,

Kush
