Can't ping - no icon visible

When I select a colleague, the icons to call them are available but not the one to send them a message.  when I click on their name, nothing happens.  Therefore I can't contact them other than to call... how can this be fixed?

Do both of you have a messaging license assigned? As you know, one may disable messaging per user..

I can message the individual on my mobile but not my desktop so it is not a matter of the individual disabling messaging.

Unfortunately, I currently do not have access to a CH to verify..

The help article https://help.webex.com/n0pxtb8/ just mentions the Webex app, not mobiles.. I would assume that they should have the features removed, but won't bet on that..

What does CScan say for those users if they run it from home?

Not that kind of ping… I mean send a message. Don’t see that icon and when I search for someone’s name, although they come up, I can’t select them and send them a message
