Domain change

We have a Webex customer ( Meetings only, not using teams) who have changed their domain from domain.com to domain1.com.

Is their a documented way to do this?

The users will have the old domain as their email login so that needs to be changed

Do I just add the new domain alongside the old domain? (once new domain is verified etc) For the users

Currently the users are added manually via text file. The plan is to do AD synch.  I would like to minimise the disruption so that users in old domain can still work whilst other users are slowly migrated across. There are no room devices so that won't be an issue.

That is correct.

I recently did something similar to an acquired company. In Site Admin, All I had to do was Export All Users, Change the @email.com in the CSV, then re-import.
Example snip for the CSV - UserID stays the same, and username / email is updated.
UserID Active FirstName LastName UserName
541563682 Y Jane Doe Jane.Doe@example.com

Control Hub will be similar, unless you have the directory connector enabled, in which case the fields will auto sync.

Are you on Control Hub and Sit Admin / Linked?

If you already have directory connector setup, and there is a window when all users in AD will be changing the email address, I would recommend doing a manual full sync from the directory connector. You can review all the expected changed before committing.

Also, if at all possible, It would be best to verify and claim the new domain ahead of time so users are not requested to validate their account and email address again.

Thanks for the response Mike.

The customer adopted a trial directly with Cisco so we need to get them over to our control hub.

I agree, it is best to get the domain verifed and claimed first. So changing a domain is not that hard really? I did read somewhere that each user has a unique ID in Webex so that is kept with the user even though the name changes?
