How to assign CVI licenses to devices?

RFC_2549
Level 1
Level 1

Hello,

we purchased some CVI licenses (Cisco Webex Video Integration for Microsoft Teams), can You please help us to find out how to assign these licenses to the Cisco devices? Or we have to assign the licenses to a user?

Thank You and kind regards

So since the CVI licenses are purchased by your organisation they apply to the whole organisation (and sit in a pool).  Meaning those users who get an  invite to join your organisation's MS teams meeting will have the dial in details at the bottom of the invite.  If a video room (resource mailbox)  is invited also at the same time the join button will appear on that video device.  Dont forget also guests that try to join in from their video devices and can dial SIP URIs will also be joining using those CVI licenses.
So the best way to keep track of usage of CVI is in control hub there is a report you https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/nmug598/Reports-for-Your-Cloud-Collaboration-Portfolio under VIMT Report.
. Cloud Video Interop (CVI) is the industry term, Video Integration for Microsoft Teams (VIMT) is the Cisco implementation.

You can choose which users can get CVI integration using powershell etc but this then restricts who can offer CVI in their invites and who can not and creates more questions than answers.

Thx

as i know, not need to assign license, full admin need follow below article to deploy it:

https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/nffx8kj/Deploy-the-Webex-video-integration-for-Microsoft-Teams

after that, you can add devices via control hub:
