Is there a way that it remember the password in the VDI?

We are affected by exactly the same problem.
is there a solution in this regard?

General information about our infrastructure:
- Outlook 2016 (Full Outlook Client)
- Local Exchange Server
- Client based on Citrix VDI (with Windows 10 21H2)
- No SSO active
- User profile is synchronized (roaming profile)
- Users are always assigned to a new VDI

Hi,

did you ever manage to solve this? - We´ve also the same problem in our non-persistent environment...

Regards

Unfortunately, the problem could never be solved, we will soon switch to Office 2024 and will then analyze the problem again.

I´m sorry to hear that.

Our environment is very similar to yours:

General information about our infrastructure:
- Outlook 2016 (Full Outlook Client)
- Local Exchange Server
- Client based on Citrix VDI (with Windows Server 2019)
- No SSO active
- User profile is synchronized (roaming profile with Citrix Profile Management)
- Users are always assigned to a new VDI

When I run it on a persistent Client the credentials are saved and useable on next login.
In general the Webex Add-In is calling a web-URL via Internet Explorer.
I cannot proof but I guess it is saving the credentials somewhere, where the profile-management does not save the settings...

Exactly the same behavior noticed with the Internet Explorer,

despite the GPO setting with the redirect to Microsoft Edge,

the Internet Explorer is always started in the background as soon as we try to organize a meeting.

Otherwise, when IE is called up, it is always redirected to Edge, which also makes sense for me.

hope that the update to the new Office 2024 will create a different situation...

Hi again,

I investigated further and could isolate the "root cause" for the Internet Explorer Cookies.

Here´s also an Article which also discusses this problem:

https://community.citrix.com/forums/topic/232589-ie11-no-history-or-cookies/

In general it´s the "webcache" and "INetCookies" folder. But all those folder should be inculded in the profile backup.

First I did it manually to check if it works. That did the trick.

Afterwards I configured the Group Policy (Citrix Profile Management) with the correct inclusions.

But beware, in my environment it was a little bit tricky until the folders were correctly synchronised. Have a close look at the exported profile if it does not work...

Can you please give some more information on this? Are you using the Full Outlook Client? OWA?

Do you have your site configured with SSO? There really isn't much information in this post to assist you with, unfortunately.

We've got an normal "Full Outlook Client", we doesnt have the SSO activ, because we dont have an AD Connector at this moment.

In the old "Producitvity Tools" we doesnt got the problem, that you have to type the email and password every time.
