WebEx UCM Calling with Azure AD push - Directory Numbers?

Based on this guide for registering WebEx to on-prem UCM:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cloudCollaboration/wbxt/ucmcalling/unified-cm-wbx-teams-deployment-guide.pdf

Page 30 (page 8 on the bottom left) has a section called "Phone numbers in contact cards" where the following is stated:

Work numbers and mobile numbers are synchronized from Active Directory and appear as selectable items in Webex. (Requires Cisco Directory Connector to synchronize user phone number attributes to the Webex cloud.)

This seems to indicate that there is no way to synchronize phone numbers using the Azure AD application user synchronization, and that to enable WebEx UCM calling and have AD directory numbers appear on contact cards, we'd have to disable Azure AD sync and implement directory connectors for all our domains. Does anyone know if this is on the roadmap to change, or am I off-base about this?

Update for those who are struggling with this same issue, here is a working solution: As WebEx is SCIM compliant, we can therefore utilize that standard to provision different attributes via the Azure AD push. We just needed to know the formatting and that it would, in-fact, utilize it on the WebEx side. I'm attaching screenshots of the Azure attribute mappings to make this function. Based on the following documentation...

Page 86: https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/us/docs/2018/pdf/BRKUCC-2444.pdf

Page 72: https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/apjc/docs/2019/pdf/BRKUCC-2444.pdf

Section called "Provisioning a multi-value attribute": https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/app-provisioning/customize-application-attributes

... we were able to get the work number and mobile number to appear in the contact cards in the WebEx app for UCM-registered WebEx calling.

No word yet on whether this is a TAC supported solution as, again, the available documentation tells us not to do this. But it works... YMMV, good luck!
