Hi All,

Want to discuss and maybe one of you can give me advice, i have so many case for this transtition

Background :

My Client have CUCM and UCCX On Premise all version 8.6 (Old Version) and now they want to migrate Cloud

UCCX On Premise has beed change with Genesys Pure Cloud . Now its running properly

This is Highlight Flow

For Incoming Call -> Voice Gateway -> CUCM -> Genesys -> Agent Genesys (CUCM Integrated to Genesys with Trunk)

For Outgoing Call -> Agent Genesys -> Genesys Pure Cloud -> CUCM -> Voice Gateway (We do NAT IP Address CUCM to IP Public , so trunk with genesys pure cloud can do)

This is my point :

  1. Is it possible replace CUCM with Webex Calling ? (All Voice Gateway will be replace to Local Gateway)
  2. Is it possible we have same existing number ? (Example : User at CUCM ext 2001 and Webex Calling ext 2001 too)
  3. Is it possible Genesys integrate trunk to Webex Calling and Vice Versa ? as long as i know webex calling have 2 type for trunk , Registration based and Certificate Based

Any suggest and reply from all of you make me happy . Or we can discussion via webex space, i ll invite you

Respectfully,

Solihul

There should have been a SIP SBC such as CUBE between CUCM and Genesys. I’m a little surprised that works as-is, especially with NAT in the mix; the firewall must be doing protocol inspection - historically a very fragile feature - and the trunk is unencrypted.

Anyway, yes you could migrate to WxC-MT. There is no option for a direct cloud-to-cloud SIP trunk though; you will need a SIP SBC somewhere. vCUBE is supported in some public cloud providers if you want to get it off-prem. Also be aware that the WxC-MT Local Gateway SIP trunk is limited to internal calls. Genesys would not be able to leverage the WxC-MT PSTN trunks, only dial extensions or DIDs provisioned within that tenant. You could allow that PSTN access directly from the SIP SBC though.
