Webex Calling and Microsoft Phone System

If we have a Webex Calling setup with IP phones registered in one branch, and another branch using the Microsoft Phone System without physical phones (using apps only), how can we integrate the two systems to allow users from both branches to place calls to each other—whether from a desk phone or an app?

Additionally, is it feasible to set up a proof of concept (POC) for this integration in order to test the functionality?

You’ll need a SIP SBC supported by both platforms. Webex Calling calls this a Local Gateway and MS Phone System Direct Routing. Several of the available SBCs have virtual instances that you can run in a public cloud environment if you're trying to avoid on-prem dependancies. If you opt for Cisco's Unified Border Element there are interoperability guides with reference configs for Direct Routing.

Yep. And the related Dial Plan so each side knows what to send to the other.

Thanks @Jonathan Schulenberg  You mean I have to configure local gateway (CUBE) to be as a middleware between Microsoft phone system and Webex Calling.
