Trying to answer a question from leadership who are thinking moving to Webex calling. we have offices in US and Europe for a total about 1000 phones with 60% the users in US. Because Europe regulation, they are wondering how Webex will handle their calling. Will all phones calling handle by a single Webex calling server/instance in US or split between US and Europe? You know the general GDPR concern.
Kevin, we just went through this with one of our customers. It appears that based on the location setup in webex control hub that is what determines the server location for where data is stored. If you have multiple locations my understanding is that the US based locations would have data tied to the closest US based servers and the European ones would have data tied to the closest server to where they are working.
