CS Kit EQ w/ 3 cameras keeps losing a camera

Hi All,

I have a eq kit with 3 cs cam ptz4k+ cameras. 1 camera goes hdmi directly to the codec, the two other cameras are using sound control rc5-ce camera extenders. When the system goes into standby by mode, the next time the system wakes one of the cameras using the extenders is missing and the extender needs a reboot in order to get the camera back. 

Anyone experience this/ have a solution?

The biggest issue I see with the extender is it looks to be only a 1080p extender.  As the camera is 4K you will need something that supports 4K over the cable and distance you are working with.  I've used BHDBT3-TRX2 without issue, but you may be able to find a lower cost option if your cabling run is shorter.  I've had good luck with 4K HDMI HDbT extenders from both Aten and Eaton.

As a troublehooting step, to determine if it's an issue with the Cisco equipment, or your third party extenders - do the cameras work as expected if they are connected without using the extenders?   If so, this would point to the extenders being a problem.

Not having used that brand or model of extender before, I'd recommend that you check with them on how to best connect the cameras in your situation - you may be using them in an unsupported configuration.
