Connecting external USB cameras directly to the Desk Mini isn't something that is currently supported. As a workaround, you can connect a PC or laptop via the USB-C cable (as long as the device you're connecting supports Display-Port Alt Mode on its USB-C port), and then you can display whatever is showing on that on the Desk Mini. So, if you had a webcam connected to the PC and displaying on the screen, you could show that as content in to your mini.
