Renaming participant using the JS SDK

Is it possible to use the JS SDK's built-in functions, for example meetings.register() to change the display name of a meeting participant?

Currently it is not possible to modify the display name that is shown in the meeting, using the JS SDK. This data is taken from the user info attached to Common Identity and it can only be modified by admins.

I understand that, but can the admin change the display name for specific meeting only, not for the the whole account.
