Webex CDRs

Hi,

We are a company that builds Analytics software and are looking to integrate with Webex. We started our journey with a sandbox environment and configured up to the point we can make “Call on Webex” call types between the users.

Our main issue at the moment is that we can’t get call records listed under Detailed Call History Admin UI or API calls(https://developer.webex.com/docs/api/v1/reports-detailed-call-history/get-detailed-call-history ) :

Following message is displayed din Admin UI: Note this dashboard shows Webex Calling calls only. Calls made on the Webex app, using the "Call on Webex" option are not included.

Doing some research on this matter it seems we need to enable PSTN licence, we tried this, but we got stuck when assigning numbers and we don’t know how to move forward.

Can someone help us move forward with this?

Is this a limitation of the Sandbox environment?

Is there another way to get data in the system for Detailed Call History?

As I can see, this information is available in this section:

Troubleshooting >>>Meetings & Calls

In this section, you can see the calls on webex and meetings.

My question: Is it possible to get the same information from API

Hi,

We really appreciate your responses!

Switched to CC sandbox and now the calls are displayed in report.

Can you advice if there is an API that can return the free calls done through Webex?

Thank you!

There is no dedicated API for that. You'd have to extract those calls using the mentioned CDR endpoint https://developer.webex.com/docs/api/v1/reports-detailed-call-history based on it's Call Type (SIP_TOLLFREE)

Hi @razvanp25,
You can download the detailed Call History report from Webex Control Hub as well and here is the reference of Columns available in the report - https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/nmug598/Reports-for-Your-Cloud-Collaboration-Portfolio#WxC-detailed-call-history-report

You can navigate this Help article as well to figure out how to download the report from Webex Control Hub.
Also you can review this documentation as well - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/webex-calling/220377-understand-detailed-call-history-report.html for understanding the complete process of achieving Details Call History report.

And yes, it's true that you should have PSTN number while making the calls, it doesn't support the calls made on Webex client.
And to be able to add a number to a location or, to a person - you first need to setup the PSTN for that location and you can review this video guide regarding how to enable PSTN for one your Calling location - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur7KGt3UgEk

Once that location is configured, you can try to make a call between 2 PSTN number and that should do the job.
If you're facing difficulty to setup the PSTN for your Org, you can also reach out to our General TAC Support team here - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/web/tsd-cisco-worldwide-contacts.html
They should be able to guide you on this.

Once this PSTN setup is done and also you're able to make a call as well, let us know for any further assistance regarding the CDR API to fetch the detailed Call History details.

Regards!
Sandip

Hello,

The CDR API exclusively provides data for Webex Calling calls and does not include information on free calls made through Webex. Users must possess a Webex Calling license to access this data.

The sandbox environment does not support the Cisco Calling Plan. However, our Contact Center sandboxes are equipped with the Cisco Calling Plan, so that could be an alternative way. You can raise a request for sandbox as guided here: https://developer.webex-cx.com/sandbox

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Rudrakshi Srivastava
