Webex Calling APIs Overview Webinar
In the next live webinar on February 22, 2023, the Webex Developer Evangelism team will present an overview of the Webex Calling platform, to talk about the available APIs, recent updates, integration use cases, and helpful resources. Webex Browser SDK Updates
There’s been some noteworthy updates in the Webex Browser (JS) SDK recently:
- TLS 443 support is now available to allow media connections when the default ports are blocked by a firewall. Check out the wiki update inside the official GitHub repo for more details.
- 1080p resolution for incoming/outgoing video is now available. More details can be found in the GitHub wiki.
Buttons & Cards for Bots Updates
There’s also been some nice improvements for Buttons & Cards in Webex messaging:
- Webex bots now supports Buttons and Cards v1.3, which allows for automated input validation, where Webex can ensure a field is being populated correctly. Senior Developer Evangelist, David Liedle, lays it out in a new blog.
- Additionally, Webex Buttons and Cards are now accessible in Android devices. Check out this Vidcast for a demo of the new experience.
🪵 Webex API Changelog Highlights 🪵
The Webex API Changelog keeps rolling on into the new year, so continue to keep a close on eye on it. Here are some noteworthy recent entries:
- Breaking Change - 12/27/22: The recordings SOAP API is now deprecated. Developers should start new projects or migrate existing apps to use the /recordings REST API.
- Breaking Change - 1/5/23: The participantEmail parameter is no longer supported in the list meetings API.
