Is there a way to split my students into breakout rooms for a few minutes of discussion? Hoping my students and their teams can have their own separate areas to brainstorm with each other live.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: It depends on which product you are using. It can be done in automatically in Webex Training or by following a manual process in Webex Teams.
It's worth noting that Webex is a suite of products. We have several solutions to fit various needs.
