Capwap & mobility integration

Hi,

 

Can we manage/controlled Capwap software access points with mobility exlress access point?

 - No but you can convert them to mobility express :

      Can I convert an access point running the CAPWAP
      protocol to Cisco Mobility Express?

Hi Kartik,

 

You can configure one AP as Mobility express and rest APs will be running on the CAPWAP code. All the access points should be in a same network for joining them to Mobility express.

 

Refer the below links for Master , Subordinate APs based on version 8.8 release notes (based on Mobility Express code Subordinate APs model will get change) and steps to joining CAPWAP AP's in to Mobility Express AP.
