Secondary 5508 HA lost config - rebuild advice

Hi all

I performed an upgrade from 8.0.x to 8.3.143.0 on our 5508 controllers in a HA pair

The primary controller applied the upgrade fine but unfortunately the secondary didn't boot back up. I connected a console cable and found it was acting as if it was "out of box", asking if I would like to execute autoinstall,

Does anyone have any advice for the best way forward? I guess I just need to act as if the controller is new and reconfigure HA, but we already have HA configuration on the primary controller:

(Cisco Controller) >show redundancy summary
Redundancy Mode = SSO ENABLED
Local State = ACTIVE
Peer State = UNKNOWN - Communication Down
Unit = Primary
Unit ID = xxxxxx
Redundancy State = Non Redundant
Mobility MAC = xxxxxx
BulkSync Status = Pending

Firstly if you have support I would be logging a TAC case to investigate why it lost its config following the upgrade as it should have not done this.

In regards to getting it back up, your correct that you just need to reconfigure the secondary controller using the same IPs

You may need to remove the config on the Primary WLC and then reconfigure HA.
