I need to update the firmware of the Cisco wireless product AIR-CAP3702P-E-K9. I would like to make it as a stand alone wireless device.

First of all you need an image with "k9w7 – autonomous IOS"

As per your query ,you have AP in LAP mode. Just change the Firmware to make it behave as Autonomous [Stand ALone].

For AP to behave as Autonomous  ,you need firmware with k9w7 (IOS) at the end of the firmware name.

Note:- You can also manage it centrally after conversion using WCS/PI.
