SSC for 2600 AP

Do we need Self Signed Certificate in AP 2602I for registering it into WLC 5508?

I'm planning to convert stand alone SAP2602I into CAP2602I then connect it into remote WLC via flex connect local switching.

Hi,

Yes you required Self-Signed Certificate for registering AP into the WLC 5508

and for authentication as well.

steps how to enable or disable SSC on WLC

Choose Security > AP Policies in the GUI > Accept Self Signed Certificate check box.

No, normally You do not need SSC to add 2602 AP to  5508 WLC.

If you have SSC AP then you must enable and add mac address on WLC.
