i am trying to config my new WAP4410N and a dialog asks me for the PIN as an 8 digit number.

it is no where to be found.

i have a label on the back of the unit stating:-

SERIAL Number:

MAC Address:

PID VID:

none of these have 8 digits.

the dialog only accepts 8 numbers. no letters.

Help? anyone?

Hello Peter,

The PIN that is being requested is the WPS PIN. Originally the APs were shipped with this PIN so you could configure them wirelessly. The PIN has since been removed as an add-in and we now recommend configuring the device through the webGUI.

In order to do this you will want to follow the setup steps from the admin guide.

There are two options

1) connect directly to the AP and set a static IP on your computer of 192.168.1.10

2) connect the AP to your network and let it get an address via DHCP and then look for it in the DHCP table.

Here is a link to the admin guide if you would like to review it.
