Hello Robelabahru:

can you get to the GUI?

Glenn

Hello,

my name is Cristiano.

I've the same problem, with nr.2 AP Wap321.

When i switch on the devices, i see only a Red Blinking Light and the AP don't response at ping calls.

Is possible try to connect it via console to reload the firmware?

Or is an hardware fault and the devices are to ?

Thanks for the responses.

Hi Cristiano,

->As with WAP321 it is not possible to get the console access, there could be hardware issue with the WAP 321

Steps:-

->Please try to hard reset the WAP 321 by pressing the reset button for at least 30 seconds until you see all the LAN , wifi and power LED blinked at once.

->Once the hard reset is done, then connect it to one of your laptop/PC statically assign an IP address to your Laptop/PC as 192.168.1.100/24 and default gateway as 192.168.1.245.

->Check with the command prompt whether you are able to get the PING response from default IP address of WAP 321 that is 192.168.1.245.

->In case you are not getting try to change the laptop/PC and the cables, and check again. Still after that there is no access then WAP321 could have a hardware fault and will need an replacement once we confirm the serial number.

->In case you are able to get the response then try to access the IP address 192.168.1.245 on web browser and check GUI of WAP 321 is accessible or not.

I would request you to contact us via call/chat so that we can help you with the WAP321 access and confirm whether there is an hardware fault with it or not via creating a service request.

Hi Mridul,
thank you for the reply.
I've tried your solutions, but the problem persists.

Probably the WAP321 have a hardware failure.

The WAP321 has been purchased more than 2 years ago and i think the warranty has expired.

So i think that Cisco's replacement can't be done or not?

Best regards.

Hi Cristiano,

I would request you to contact our Small business support team so that we can verify the entitlement of WAP 321 via the serial number and check whether the replacement can be done or not once it is been confirmed by one of small business engineer there is an hardware fault with the device.
