WAP 121 booting over PoE problems with Cisco Catalyst WS3550-24PWR

I can't boot my WAP121 over PoE (supplied by Cisco Catalyst WS3550-24PWR).

PWR and LAN link is going up and down periodically (c3550 console message) - flapping. WLAN interface doesn't go up at all.

When connected to external power it works fine. What is important, after WLAN interface goes up, I can disconnect external power and WAP121 continues to work using PoE (so, the problem persists only during startup phase).

I checked this with two different WAP121 - same problem.

So, the whole network is useless - after power down I need to connect external power to each and every AP just for booting :-(

The switch allocates 15.4W per WAP and I've checked only 6W is necessary to power APs... I know CDP could be used to establish PoE dialogue between PSE (power sourcing equipment) and CPE but no idea how to enable CDP on WAP121 (but I don't think I could help at all)?

Any hints about this...???

Hi Rafal, thanks for using our forum, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. The “w” means watts, they are the consumption per the switch port, you have to look out for the voltage “v”, as you know the WAP121 needs 12v. If you could provide me this information I could help you more,
