1130AG AP connection to 1861 Router running CME

Hi all,

Looking for some assistance in configuring a Cisco 1130 AP (autonomous) to a 1861 router.

I am struggling to work out how to connect this and get it working.

Router has 2 vlans, VOICE and DATA.

All switch ports configured for access vlan (DATA) and voice vlan (VOICE)

We need the AP to have an SSID for VOICE and DATA and the gateway/DHCP server for each of thes to be the router.

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Hi,

You need to create 2 SSIDs on the AP. map each SSID to the corresponding VLAN (one mapped to data vlan and one to voice vlan). Connect the AP to a trunk port that has both VLANs enabled. (default vlan on the trunk must be management vlan for the AP).

Make sure to keep the management ip address (BVI interface ip address) on the default vlan.

Let me knwo if that is clear or you need more assistance.

Greetings,

Amjad
