1142LAP not joing the controller after conversion

I have some remote 1142s that I converted to LAP last night.  They are not joing a WLC, but I they are online and I can ping them.  Telnet or SSH is disabled by default (WHY???). What can I do to figure out why these access points are not joining the controller?

I did before I found someoneat the site to reset the APs. You guys have been more helpful.  I appreciate you all.

Jason,

Thanks for the kind words -- we j/k steve

have you consider the option of using the converting tool. this allows you to put in your dns when the upgrade happens. one down side it runs only on xp ..

Not quite sure why we're getting so hung up with DNS when DHCP Option 43 also works fine as you've already seen.

Changing the autonomous to DHCP and then converting should allow the AP to join fine. You've already proved the DHCP option works when you reset the other APs and they joined the controller. DNS is fine but it's not the only option.

The conversion tool does only work on XP but it will run fine on Win 7 if you use Windows XP Mode.
