Hi All,
I would like to configure my 1200 aironet AP from the console.
When I power on the AP, I can not get the prompt ">". Instead I get "Auto so forth and so on".
how do i get to the user mode?
Thanks,
paul

Is the AP using IOS software or VxWorks?

When you console to the router initially, do you have the option to choose 'no' to the auto setup?
It might be worth going through the auto setup to configure an IP address, that way you can then access it via the Web interface, which will quickly tell you what software is running.
Usually if it's running IOS, and no configuration exists, you'll be prompted on startup to enter express setup with a yes/no option. when you select no, it should just witch to the ap> prompt.
