I'm looking to order a 1200 AP but I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can use the Linksys usb NIC part # WUSB54G on the clients? If I'm looking to setup standard WEB 128 bit encryp. Will this work?

For me it didn't work, it fails to get IP address from the Network DHCP, even if i add IP address to this card manually i failed to connect to anything in my LAN.. the strange thing is that when i checked the AP i found that this PC using the linksys USB card was assosiated as a repeater not as a client.. can anyone help me to resolve this issue?!!
Regards..

I had clients associating as repeaters rather than clients. I turned off aironet extensions and that fixed the problem. Not sure where this is in the GUI but in IOS
config
int dot11radio0
no dot11 extension aironet
...hope this helps......J

Whenever i try to associate WUSB54G Linksys network adapter to AP1200, I find that the device is identified as a repeater and not as a client!!!
I read that by disabling "Aironet Extension" on the AP1200 it should works, so I tried this but I wasnt successful even my laptop that was working fine and was associated with the same AP1200 after I disabled the disable "Aironet Extension" on it my connection was lost and I wasnt able to connect anymore until I enabled "Aironet Extension"
Is there anything i can configure on AP to avoid this behaviour?
Please note that Im attaching the AP1200 Configuration file, sh version & sh tech files..
