I am trying to use 25 Compaq Laptops (Roaming lab - K12 Education) behind a repeater so the repeater can go around on the lab cart and pick up the main wireless ap in the hallway (whichever one is closest).
I can't seem to get the repeater to be able to be pinged, even though it authenticates with the AP in teh hallway, and it says IP not assigned on teh associations page.
I basically set up the Repeater as a standad AP, then made the changes to tradio page to make it a repeater/non-root. I have to Vlans, each with it's own SSID, one for phones ( Iuse cisco 7920's) and the other for Data.
Am I missing something basic to setting up the repeater? Should I be able to ping the repeaters IP number once it's associated?
