No I have not tried your option; However we did remedy the situation. We still do not know exactly why, but when we switched from the Dell Laptop to an IBM or Compaq laptop we had, we were able to complete the update/edit process to the 1200 AP. I compared all of the laptops Internet Explorer versions and updates and they do match; however the Dell version could not complete the config save process.........

Did the laptops have any "firewall" software installed?
If so, disable the firewall and see if that works.
