We are trying to use Linksys SRW224P Switches. They do not seem to be getting any power to the Access Points. Anyone tried this before and if so did it work? All help would be greatly appreciated. We have 29 access points so it will be a nightmare using power injectors.

I believe the 1231 uses non-standard (pre-standard) POE, and the LInksys probably follows the standard.
There may be converters available from Cisco and other sources, or you can dig up the specs and create them yourself as "pigtails."
Good Luck

Thanks Scott. We have ended up buying Powerdsine Midspan units to supply the right power. Unbelievable that Cisco havent changed their products to match the standard. I need to sort out the wiring on the pigtails now as they want ?6 each for them.

Yes I did and made them up a lot cheaper. I think this is the link. If not come back and I will delve through and try to find it. http://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/ethernetcables.html
