128-bit static WEP key

A very basic question, which just popped into my mind during a config session (and perhaps I will make a fool of myself

Why is that the static WEP key is 128-bit in Cisco APs and clients if only 26 hex characters need to be entered ? According to my knowledge, this is 104 bits. For a 40 bit key the length is ok (10 hex characters).

Just got it. Cisco was inconsistent in naming the keys (or perhaps it was just a marketing trick;) - the secrets are 40 bits and 104 bits long, but when 24 bit IV is added, it is actually 64 and 128.
